Lila Sue Renken, 74, of Battlefield, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in Springfield. She was born October 28, 1937, in Hume, Mo., the daughter of Kenneth E. and Minnie McKibbin Spratt, who preceded her in death. She was married August 21, 1955, to Don Renken, who also preceded her in death. She was a floral designer and follwed her husband Don Renken's ministry through the years. She was an active and faithful member of Phillipsburg Christian Church for many years, following Don's passing, she transferred her membership to Southland Christian Church in Springfield, Missouri and was involved in women's and senior ministries. Survivors include: two sons, Larry Renken of Jefferson City, Mo. and Roger Renken and his wife Judy of Carthage, Mo.; four daughters, Karen Jackson of Tulsa, Okla., Kay Williams of Ashburn, Va., Kathy Bryson and her husband George of Welchor and Vicki Banks of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Mary Lee and her husband J.R. of Tulsa, Okla.; 19 grandchildren, Christopher, Clinton, Corey, Courtney, Nicole, and Brooke Renken, Lindsay and Blake Jackson, Gabriel and Joel Williams, Jessie, Jonathan and Jay Swartout, Waylon, Nicole, and Tyler Bryson, Brittni and Gered High and Allie Banks; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Swartout, Grayson Renken and Lindy Renken; other relatives; many church families and friends. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Robert Spratt. Visitation will be Friday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at Shadel's Colonial Chapel, 1001 North Lynn, Lebanon, MO 65536. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Phllipsburg Christian Church with Pastors Ben Killion and Roger Tribble officiating. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Enloe Cemetery in Russellville. Memorials have been suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home (P.O. Box 6 Lamont, MO 65337) and donations can be left at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
