Lois R. Helmig, age 66, of Linn, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at her residence. Lois was born in Hot Springs, S.D., a daughter to the late Burton and Grace (Broyles) Case. Lois attended school in Hot Springs, S.D. On November 5, 1965, Lois was united in marriage to Joe Helmig at the Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. He survives of the home. Lois was owner/operator of Aplex, Inc. construction company in Linn. Lois was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Linn and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting and crafts, and had been the co-owner of Juanita's Craft Nuts in Linn. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her spouse, Lois is survived by: one son, Ron and his wife Shanae Helmig of Linn; two daughters, Juanita Schuster of Jefferson City, and Paula and her husband Mark Conley of Linn; four brothers, Bob Case of New Castle, Wyo., Bill Case of Lakewood, Colo., Mike Evans and Pat Evans both of Hot Springs, S.D.; three sisters, Edna McAdams, Norma Hacke, and Joan Sheets, all of Hot Springs, S.D.; seven grandchildren, Mark, Kate, Miranda, Kayla, Emily, Olivia, and Vivian; six great- grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one brother, Frank Case; two sisters, Betty Conger and Judy Case; one grandson, Steven Schuster; and a son-in-law, Bruce Schuster. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Pastors John and Marilyn Zaring officiating. Burial will follow in the Community of Christ Cemetery.
