Carnie Stone

Carnie Frank Stone, 85, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Oak Tree Villas. He was born November 5, 1926, in Willow Springs. Carnie was united in marriage to Louella Huddleston, who survives at their home. Carnie served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 1949, Carnie joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a trooper. He worked for the Patrol for 37 years until his retirement in 1986 as a Major. He was 50 year member of the Masons and enjoyed going to auctions and estate sales. Other survivors include one son, Ed Stone of Miami, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Jadi Stone of Miami, Oklahoma; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Stone. Private family graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield.
