Patrick Joseph Morello Sr. 81, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at his home. He was born January 16, 1931, in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, a son of Anthony and Rachael (Di Renzo) Morello. He earned both his Bachelors and Masters degree from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Patrick served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1957, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant. He worked his entire career for Westvaco (later Mead-Westvaco) Corporation, starting in their New York City corporate office before moving to Kentucky to oversee construction and management of what at that time was the world's largest and fastest paper mill. He was an avid golfer. On August 3, 1957, Patrick was united in marriage in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, to Alice Mullin, who survives at their home. Other survivors include two children: Dr. Patrick J. Morello Jr. and wife Cathlin of Jefferson City, Margaret C. Underwood and husband Billy of Peru, South America; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Morello and Brittany Underwood. Friends will be received from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with Fr. Clarence Wiederholt officiating.
