Joseph Roy Cockrum, 25, of Fulton, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012. He was born July 19, 1986, in Columbia, the son of Thomas Cockrum and Freda Mikel. Joseph was united in marriage to Michelle Cockrum, who survives his passing. Joseph enjoyed fishing and taking care of his animals. He was always there for his mom. In addition to his parents, Joseph will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a special friend, Christy Savage of Fulton; his stepfather, Bill Jones of Fulton; one son, Aiden Christopher Utley of Fulton; two brothers, Christopher Roy Cockrum of Fulton and Robert Roy Cockrum and wife Candi of Fulton; one sister, Kimberly Ann Cockrum of Holt Summit; three grandparents, Bessie and Rex Mikel of Jacksonville, Mo., and Maxine Cockrum of Macon; one niece, Brianna Jaden Nicole Cockrum; and one nephew, Alexander Christopher Cockrum. Joseph was preceded in death by one grandfather, Pearl Cockrum, two uncles, and one aunt. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
