Louise Dreps

Louise Dreps, age 80, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in Mercy Hospital. Louise was born July 28, 1931, in Moberly, to the late L.E. McBride and Erma Bartee McBride. She attended high school in Fulton, where she also met and married her husband of nearly 50 years, Irl Dreps. They lived in Jefferson City from 1959-1977 then moved to Springfield. She was a member of South Street Christian Church and volunteered at Mercy Hospital. She is survived by one son, Kevin (Karla) Dreps, Lake Ozark; one daughter, Karen Uhr, Springfield; one brother, Dennis (Carol) McBride, Omaha, Neb.; and three grandchildren, Cody and Kayla Dreps and Justin Uhr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irl G. and sister Bonnie McBride. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2012, at South Street Christian Church with the Reverend Janet Given officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to South Street Christian Church.
