Angeline Lock

Angeline Lock, age 96, of Loose Creek, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at St. Joseph's Bluffs in Jefferson City. Angie was born February 5, 1916, in Loose Creek, the daughter of William and Katherine (Trecker) Orscheln. On April 30, 1946, she married Howard Lock, who preceded her in death on May 16, 2007. She was a lifelong resident of the Loose Creek community and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek, the St. Ann's Sodality, the Sewing Circle and the VFW Post 4756 Ladies Auxiliary in Linn. She worked to support the war effort in a defense factory in St. Louis during World War II and later at Scholastics in Jefferson City. Angie was also the co-owner, along with her husband and his siblings, of Lock's Brothers Milling Company in Loose Creek. Angie and Howard loved to dance and with their many friends, belonged to several dance clubs. They traveled extensively including visiting Germany several times to reconnect with their ancestors. Home, though, was her favorite place to be. Angie loved to read, crochet and quilt but most of all, she loved to visit with her many friends and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Angie is survived by two sons: Henry Lock and his wife Irene of Clarkston, Mich. and Robert Lock of Columbia; three daughters, Margaret Boulch and her husband Randall and Norma Jean D'Eagle and her husband David of Jefferson City, and Sharon Burnett and her husband Doug of Hartsburg; 16 grandchildren, Heather Wheeler, Michael Mason, Heidi Sullivan, Aaron Lock, Tanya Bishop, Nathan Burnett, Clayton Burnett, Derek Burnett, Anna Maxwell, Lindsey Goldman, Jonathan Lock, Jesse Helmig, Angie Burke, David D'Eagle Jr., Georgie Emenhiser and Ashley D'Eagle; 17 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Ann Orscheln; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek. Fr. Don Antweiler will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church.
