Omega Faye (Wyrick) Allen, 87, of New Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her home. She was born May 9, 1925 in Ulman, Mo., to the late Peter and Myrtle Wyrick. Mrs. Allen was married to Wilbur Glenn Allen on December 31, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2003. Mrs. Allen was a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher and leader in Sunbeams and Girls Auxiliary. She was a member of the Fulton Gideon's Auxiliary and a member of the New Bloomfield XYZ Club. She retired from the Motor Vehicle Department of Revenue in 1980 after working there for 25 years. She loved and was devoted to her family, to her Lord, and to her church. Survivors include two sons, David Allen of Lebanon and Jerry Allen of New Bloomfield; two daughters, Glenda Marrs of Rome, Ga., and Carol Wolfmeier of Fulton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and one brother, Julius Wyrick of Riverside, Calif. She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and a brother and sister-in-law. Funeral Services will be at noon on Wednesday, July 18 at Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield with Reverend Rick Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service. In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests memorials be made in Mrs. Allen's name to Hopewell Baptist Church or Gideon's International, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
