Sharon Jo Buchanan, 65, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born April 29, 1947, in Jefferson City to the late Joseph B. and Ruby L. (Albertson) Lammers. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton. Sharon earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from William Woods University and a Masters degree in Psychology from Lincoln University. Sharon was employed by Family Counseling Center as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor for the Mid-Missouri area. She was a strong and knowledgeable person. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, writing poetry and spending time with her family and friends. Sharon is survived by: one brother, John Alan Lammers and wife Kim of Holt Summit; two children, Brian J. Buchanan and wife Lori of Jefferson City and Samantha J. Gerhardt and husband Jerry of Boonville; three granddaughters, Sandra J. Sinor of Belle, Haileigh M. Sutphin of Boonville, and Lindley M. Buchanan of Jefferson City; and one great-grandchild, Ivan J. Soper of Belle. Sharon was preceded in death by her step-father, John C. Lammers. Her body is being cremated by Heartland Cremation and Burial Society. A memorial luncheon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14 at the First Assembly of God Church, 605 Old Jefferson City Road, Fulton, MO 65251. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton.
