V De Lois Begemann

Mrs. V. De Lois Begemann, age 78 years, of Henley, Mo., died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Heisinger Bluffs. De Lois was born December 20, 1933, in Hartsburg, Mo., the daughter of Clarence and Celia Sappington Nichols. She was married on November 21, 1953, in Hartsburg, Mo., to August T. Begemann Jr. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, De Lois was a 1952 graduate of Ashland High School. She was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue for 13 years and later with the Missouri Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education for 26 years prior to her retirement in 1992. De Lois was a member of the Central United Church of Christ. She enjoyed antiquing but most importantly, spending time with her family. Survivors include: her husband of 58 years, August T. Begemann Jr.; two sons, Darrell B. Begemann of Jefferson City, Mo. and Gale B. Begemann of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Irene Nichols and her husband Paul of Hartsburg, Mo.; and two granddaughters, Ashley Pharris and Kara Begemann. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Grover Nichols. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Riverview Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Buchholz officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Central United Church of Christ or the charity of their choice.
