Ronnie Lee Poire

Ronnie Lee Poire, age 64, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his home. He was born May 18, 1948, in Harlan, Iowa, the son of Louis Leroy and Marjorie Darlene Muller Poire. He was married on December 14, 1975, in Springfield, to Linda Sue Tucker. He served four years in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and retired from the Army National Guard. He was employed with Poire Construction since the age of 14. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching races, and playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include: one son, Nathan Louis Poire (Amber), Jefferson City; one daughter, Angela Marie Poire, Jefferson City; two brothers, Richard Poire (Debbie), and David Poire (Shelley), all of Jefferson City; one sister, Connie Zagalit (Mike), Kansas City; three grandchildren, Sierra N. Poire, Madalyn E. Bryan, and Chandler P. Poire, all of Jefferson City; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church, Jefferson City, with Bro. Monte Shinkle officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Cremation and Burial.
