Mr. Robert "Bob" Groner, 64, of Berger, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence. Bob was born in Washington, Missouri on September 2, 1947, the son of the late George S. and Marie (Meyer) Groner. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Bob formerly worked as a salesman at Chris Auffenberg Ford Washington, Mo., he also worked as a carpenter in St. Louis at Woerman Construction for over 20 years, he was a farmer his whole life in the Berger area. Bob was devoted to the Rosary, he was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Paul's Church Council member, Knights of Columbus and the New Haven Lions. He enjoyed the outdoors, farming, hunting, fishing and cooking. He was the husband of Jeanne (Heitman) Groner. They were married April 4, 1970, at Immaculate Conception Church, Old Monroe. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne and by his children: five sons, Mark Groner (Debra), Hillsboro, Brian Groner (Heidi), New Haven, Brad Groner (Jamie), Berger, Rob Groner (Erica), Hermann and Luke Groner, Berger and one daughter, Michelle Pierceall (Bruce), Overland Park, Kansas. He is also survived by five sisters, Mary Ann Vaughan (Chuck) and Betty Fast (Dan), Jefferson City, Carol Schaefer (Don), Hermann; Theresa Groner-Davis (Rob), Hallsville, and Paula Bunde (Brad), Overland, Kansas and one sister-in-law, Marian Groner, Hermann. He has nine grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Groner. Funeral Services were held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Berger, Missouri on Tuesday, July 3, Father John Deken officiated. Visitation was Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri with a rosary service at 7:45 p.m. Graveside Services were at St. Paul's Cemetery Berger, Missouri.
