Laurine H. Boessen, age 86, of Loose Creek, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012, at Westphalia Hills. Laurine was born March 7, 1925, in Loose Creek, a daughter to the late Joseph E. and Annie (Lock) Boessen. Laurine was a lifelong area resident and had worked at International Shoe Factory and Westinghouse in Jefferson City. Laurine was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek as well as St Ann's Ladies Sodality and the quilting circle. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, playing cards and visiting with people. Laurine is survived by: three sisters-in-law, Clara Boessen Fischer of Holts Summit, Dorothy Boessen of Jefferson City, and Alma Boessen of Westphalia; four nieces, Judy and her husband Gene Schneider of Jefferson City, JoAnn and her husband Terry Stock of Holts Summit, Joyce and her husband Clay Green of Holts Summit, and Geri Berhorst of Holts Summit; three nephews, Roy and his wife Sandy Boessen of Holts Summit, Roger and his wife Rachel Boessen of Kansas City, and David and his wife Arlene Boessen, of Holts Summit; as well as several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Laurine was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Harry, Ralph and James Boessen; a sister-in-law, Mary Emma Boessen; and one nephew, Kevin Boessen. Visitation will be from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 23, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Don Antweiler as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
