Jo Brant

Jo Dean Brant, 77, of Tipton, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab Center in Jefferson City. Ms. Brant was born May 7, 1934 in Marvin, the daughter of Mildred Bishop Price and Thomas Jack Price. She married Charles Brant in Tipton, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2010. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, and loved to travel and shop. She was avid Elvis fan. Survivors include four daughters: Vicky (Greg) Havener of Jefferson City, Debbie (Jim) Spillars of Tipton, Kim (Don) Tschirgi of Lohman, and Valerie (Kyle) Bergmann of Panama City, Fla.; two sons: Tom (Jeanne) Brant of Jefferson City and Scott (Olivia) Brant of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Services for Ms. Brant will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, with Pastor Todd Williams officiating. Burial will be in the St. Andrews Cemetery in Tipton. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday. Memorials will be to the donor's choice.
