Lawrence Hensley (Veteran)

CW4 (Ret) Lawrence Oliver Hensley, 91, of Waynesville, Mo., a retired United States Army and Air Force and World War II veteran, passed away the morning of Monday, January 16, 2012, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center of Rolla. Mr. Hensley is survived by his wife, Velma Hensley of the home; four brothers: Dennis Hensley of Columbia, Mo., Dwight Hensley of Waynesville, Mo., Douglas Hensley of Orick, Mo. and Melvin Hensley of Waynesville, Mo.; two sisters: Barbara Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M. and Marlene Hartley of Richland, Mo.; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, in the Westside Baptist Church of Waynesville. Burial with military honors will follow in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lawrence Hensley and may be left at the funeral home.
