Antoinette Elliott

Mrs. Antoinette "Toni" Elliott, age 88 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Villa Marie. Toni was born on July 27, 1923, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Edgar A. and Cecilia Tihen McConnell. She was married on November 23, 1946, in Wood River, Ill., to Paul R. Elliott, who preceded her in death on January 23, 1997. She graduated from Wood River High School in Wood River, Ill. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1948, Toni was employed with the State of Missouri for 45 years retiring in 1989. During those years she worked with the State Health Department, Department of Corrections, and retired with Employment Security. During her stay at Villa Marie, Toni developed many friendships with staff and other residents. Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara Elliott of Jefferson City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Paul. Private entombment will be held at the Columbarium of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
