Vaughn M. "Truly" King

Mr. Vaughn M. "Truly" King, age 51 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Truly was born on February 2, 1960, in St. Louis, Mo., a son of Maurice and Josephine Larry King. He graduated from Vashon High School in St. Louis, Mo., and later served in the United States Army. Truly was employed as a transporter for Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. for many years. He moved to Jefferson City in 2007 to be closer to his family. Survivors include: one daughter, Chantrea King of Forest Park, Ohio; three sisters, Carla Holmes and her husband Michael, Odelphia King-Byrd and her husband Nathaniel, and Treaka "Nicky" Young and her husband Bryan of Jefferson City, Mo.; and one brother, Aaron King and his wife Patricia of St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Odell King. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Lively Stone International Church, 400 Ridgeway Dr., Jefferson City, Mo., with Pastor Joseph Harden officiating.
