Paul R. Clennin, 72, of California, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born on March 6, 1939, the son of Nicholas W. and Trella (Bolin) Clennin at the home of his parents and grandparents north of California. He was married at St. Paulís Lutheran Church to Mary Ann Hoellering on June 28, 1959. He was always helping others, and enjoyed his farm, cattle and antique tractors. He was presently a member and trustee of St. Paulís Lutheran Church in California, where he also served as an usher, youth counselor and Sunday School Superintendent. Paul served on the Fair Board for many years, was on the MFA Oil Board, past president of the California Rural Fire Association, was a 4-H leader, and spent numerous hours working with his brother Harold at Clennin Meats. Most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the home; one son, Russell and wife Tracy of California; two granddaughters, Morgan Nicole Clennin of Baltimore, Md., and Kalie Ann Clennin of Springfield; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold Clennin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paulís Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. Paulís Lutheran Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Peter Kurowski. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. ñ 7:00 p.m. at St. Paulís Lutheran Church.
