Janet Ross, 70, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born June 16, 1941, in St. Louis, a daughter of the late Leonard and Vessie (Barnhart) Golden. On January 19, 1967, Janet was united in marriage in Cedar City, to Lanny R. Ross, who survives at their home. Janet was a homemaker, and enjoyed crafts, fishing, camping, and being outdoors. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City. Along with her husband Lanny, Janet is also survived by two sons, Daniel L. Lytle (partner Carlos Monsanto) of Marimar, Fla. and Matt W. Lytle of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Vicki Zimmerman (husband Ivan) of Jefferson City, Susan Brown (husband Paul) of El Paso, Texas, and Melissa Ross of Fulton; one brother, Charles E. Golden of Jefferson City; two sisters, Susan Golden and Alice Bilbrey, both of Jefferson City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Lytle in 2001. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Brian K. Credille officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
