Nancy Jeanne Dreisinger, 62, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012. Her passing was as she had lived her life, with elegance and grace after battling Alzheimer's disease for the past several years. Nancy was born on May 12, 1949, in Toronto, Canada, coming with her family to the United States in 1951. While she had been a corporate executive for American Home Products in New York City for a decade, she lived the last 28 years in Jefferson City, where she served as marketing director for Central Bank. During this time she contributed to the community through several organizations, including the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. While her accomplishments were many, it was her humanity and spirit that set her aside. There were few she met or interacted with who did not know they had been touched by something special. She is survived by her daughter, Mariah Lyn Dreisinger; her sister, Anne Cole of Vienna, Virginia; and her brother, Ted Dreisinger of San Diego, California. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at Elm St. Ballroom (904 Elm St.) in Columbia, on Sunday, February 19 from 1-5 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Nancy's honor to Columbia Healthcare Center - Special Care Unit, to help fund the continued care of patients with dementia. Tributes can be left online at: www.memorialfuneralhomeandcemetery.com
