Thomas Michael Stefanec, age 65, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012. Tom was born on June 8, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Frank and Olga Stefanec (Lechman). A graduate of Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Tom served in the Army from 1965-67 and was a graduate of Lincoln University with a BS in education. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Pamela Kroeger (Mrs. Steven); grandsons, Nick and Sam Kroeger; sisters-in-law, Laura Sanderson and Jana Livingston; brother-in-law, Robert J. Livingston; nephew, Jacob Johnson (Stefanie) of Jefferson City; nephews, Adam Colozza (Jennifer) of Holts Summit and Robert Colozza (Nell) of Chesterfield; and nieces, Joanne Hodges (Matthew) of Bertrand and Diana Murrah (Chris) of Ballwin. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geraldine Romans. Tom was a loving husband to wife Marilyn. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and his devoted dogs, Pip, Zoey and Candy. The family wishes to thank the staff of Saint Mary's Health Center and SMS Hospice for the care they gave Tom during his last days. A celebration of life is planned for friends and family.
