Mrs. Joyce C. Oldham, age 77 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, February 6, 2012, at her home. Joyce was born October 17, 1934, in Holts Summit, Mo., the daughter of Joseph and Elma Sachs Zimmerman. She was married on July 11, 1951, in Carthage, Mo., to Max William Oldham, who preceded her in death on January 5, 2004. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Joyce graduated from Jefferson City High School. She was employed as a waitress at the Hotel Governor and later with Capital Plaza for 16 years prior to her retirement in 2007. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include: three sons, Steve Oldham and his wife Sondra of Oakridge, Tenn., John Oldham and his wife Barbara of Jefferson City, Mo., and Mark Oldham and his wife Jeanne of Boonville, Mo.; three daughters, Chris Werdehausen and her husband Elmer of Holts Summit, Mo., Cindy Ennes and her husband Monte of Holts Summit, Mo., and Stacy Schlueter and her husband Scott of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Ann Brugioni of Palestine, Texas and Neoma Plybon of Fulton, Mo.; one brother, Warren Zimmerman and his wife Lois of Fulton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max; two brothers, Earl Zimmerman and Henry Zimmerman; and one sister, LaVerne Herring. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Hospice Compassus.
