Clifford Clay Griffin, 74, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at his residence. He was born October 6, 1937, in Doniphan, Missouri, the son of Sam and Verneal Holland Griffin. On February 10, 1990, he was united in marriage in Doniphan to Judy Rea, who survives at the home. Cliff was a graduate of Doniphan High School. He served in the Missouri National Guard, United States Navy and Naval Reserves. Cliff spent most of his career in sales, most recently employed with Sears. He enjoyed oil painting, fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou sports fan. Most of all "Poppi's" greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by four daughters: Debbie McIntire of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, Kristi (Terry) Klamet of Jefferson City, Karen (Kevin) Jones of Jefferson City, and Jana (Lance) Salmons of Jefferson City; 10 grandchildren: Katie (Terrence) Johnson, Bailey (Cody) Higgins, Kourtney Jones, Kellin Jones, Logan Salmons, Lucas Salmons, Henry Salmons, Tim (Monica) McIntire, Lyndsay McIntire and Lacey McIntire; three great-grandchildren: Isaac Johnson, Kendric Johnson and Seumas McIntire; one brother: Bob (Pat) Griffin of Doniphan; one sister: Anna Holder of Poplar Bluff; and four nephews. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012, at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services and military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.
