Mrs. M. Renee Irvin, age 72 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, February 5, 2012, at her home. Renee was born March 29, 1939, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of George and Marion Keown Fricke. She was married on November 25, 1961, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Ronald L. Irvin. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Renee was a 1957 graduate of Garces Memorial Catholic High School in Bakersville, Calif. A homemaker, Renee also was the owner of Hitching Post Antiques. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, a member of the Immaculata Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed antiquing, painting, decorating, dancing, reading, playing cards, and shopping. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include: her husband of 50 years, Ronald Irvin; three daughters, Shannon Baker and her husband Richard of Kansas City, Mo., Paige Kever and her husband Tony of Frankenstein, Mo., and Brooke Gaudin and her husband Larry of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Georgeen Fennewald and her husband Robert of Jefferson City, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Annie Gaudin of Kansas City, Mo., Sammy Gaudin of Kansas City, Mo., Charlie Baker of Kansas City, Mo., Cara Baker of Kansas City, Mo., Rylie Kever of Frankenstein, Mo., Alison Kever of Frankenstein, Mo., and Nathan Kever of Frankenstein, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012, with a prayer service to be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Freeman Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Dylan Schrader officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary's Hospice, Birthright, or the Samarian Center.
