Anna Buske

Anna Rita Buske, age 89, Lebanon, Mo., departed this life Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at her home. She was born March 25, 1922, in Litchfield, Illinois, daughter of Otto and Lillian Britton Leitschuh. On May 17, 1945, she was united in marriage to Leroy Edward Buske. She was born and raised in the Litchfield, Illinois area. In 1961, the family moved to Jefferson City, Missouri, where Rita was not only a devoted homemaker, but also helped Leroy in the operation of their bowling center business, West Gate Lanes. The family then moved to Lebanon, Mo., in 1971, where they owned and operated Starlite Lanes Bowling Center for a number of years. Rita and Leroy also were one of the first Amway Distributors in and around Lebanon. Rita is survived by three daughters, Rita Rae Thacker, and her husband, Ray, Nancy Allen, and her husband, Mike, all of Lebanon, and Judy Amos, and her husband, Gene, of Falcon; two sons, Ronald Buske, and his wife, Janice, of Lee's Summit, and John Buske, of Laurie; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy, on April 29, 2001. Graveside services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 4, 2012, in the Elm Lawn Memorial Park, in Litchfield, Illinois, with Rev. Mike Allen officiating, under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Mo. Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home in Lebanon, and then from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday, in the Plummer Funeral Home of Litchfield, Illinois. Memorial donations to the Curry Cancer Center in Lebanon, Mo. may be made through Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 28, Lebanon, MO 65536.
