Ronald Heiman

Mr. Ronald A. Heiman, age 79 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Ron was born on June 11, 1932, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of William M. and Geraldine Meredyth Heiman. He was married on November 6, 1954, in Cahokia, Ill., to Eva Millatti and from this marriage his two daughters were born. He later married Jacquelyn Ward in Jerseyville, Ill. on September 16, 1977. A resident of the St. Louis area for the majority of his life, Ron was owner and operator of Mid-Town Garage, Inc. from 1971 until 2010. Ron loved being a mechanic and even in his spare time he enjoyed tinkering with toys on his farm. He was a loyal member of District 9 International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Lodge 313. Ron was an avid NASCAR fan and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include: his wife, Jacquelyn Heiman; two daughters, Cynthia McQuade and her husband Craig of Maryville, Ill. and Judith Blackman and her husband Edward of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one son, Daniel J. Heiman and his wife Brittany of Owensville, Mo.; two brothers, Dennis Heiman and Kenneth Heiman and his wife Ann; four grandchildren, Kelsey McQuade, Brett Blackman, Brittany Blackman, and Emma Jenkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Denora Massia; and a nephew, Dennis Heiman Jr. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012. Private graveside services and interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
