Martha Maxine Waite

Martha Maxine Waite, 90, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 22, 1922, in Hardin, Missouri, the daughter of the late Pearl Edward and Opal (Brunworth) Waite. Martha attended and graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1940. Martha worked for Von Hoffmann Printing Company for 35 years as a proofreader. She also worked for the Missouri Highway Department for five years as an accident report proofreader. Martha was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she sang in the church choir for 25 years. She also taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the American Legion for 69 years. She is survived by two cousins, Wayne Waite and Velma Jones, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeannie Martin Webb officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
