Andre Hudson

Andre "Dre" Hudson, 41, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born January 6, 1971, in Ogden, Utah, a son of the late Robert Hudson Jr. and Laura (Ware) Hudson. He graduated high school in Sacramento, California. On March 14, 2007, he was united in marriage to Marcy R. McEntee, who survives at their home. Andre worked for many years in construction and floor covering. He previously had worked for St. Mary's Health Center. Andre enjoyed fishing and being around his family and friends, but most of all, he loved to spend time and play with his kids. Along with his wife Marcy, Andre is also survived by three children: Andre Hudson Jr. of the state of California, Andrea Hudson and Adora Hudson of Holts Summit; three step-children: Dennis Barnes, Deana Barnes and Alysha McEntee, all of Holts Summit; one granddaughter: Trinity Hudson; four siblings: Marie Hudson-Kelly (husband John) of Sacramento, Calif., Victoria Hudson-Brooks (husband Ronald) of Holts Summit, Bobby Hudson; Sallie Kay Hudson of Sacramento, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother: Isaac Hudson in 2010. Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit, where a Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Skiles officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Andre Hudson Children's Educational Fund.
