Nancy A. Northcutt

Mrs. Nancy A. Northcutt, age 78 years, of Holts Summit, Mo., died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at her home. Nancy was born January 27, 1934, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Andrew J. and Minnie Colley Schwaller. She was married on February 5, 1962, in Fulton, Mo., to Robert Northcutt, who preceded her in death on September 17, 1989. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Nancy graduated from St. Peter High School. A homemaker, she had been employed with the Missouri Division of Social Services for several years. Nancy raised Quarter horses on her farm in Callaway County and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Assn. Survivors include: three children, David Roark and his wife Julie of Fulton, Mo., Jim Roark and his wife Lezlie of Key West, Fla., and Roberta Northcutt and her husband Mike Spencer of Mena, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Julie Savill, Ashley Smith, J.D. Roark, Shannon Fewins, Patrick Roark, Andrew Roark, Matthew Roark, Heather Roark, and Alex Roark; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Sara Armellini and her husband Rick and Kathy McCormick and her husband Michael; and one sister-in-law, Arlene Schwaller. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Richard Roark; one granddaughter, Jennifer Roark; three brothers, Charles Schwaller, Richard Schwaller, and Paul "Pat" Schwaller; and one niece, Carol Pryor. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Callaway County Humane Society Building Fund.
