Mordecai Diane, Sissy Davis

Mordecai "Diane" "Sissy" Davis, 70, of Walnut Grove, Mo., passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. She was born February 9, 1942, in Springfield, Mo., a daughter of the late Doris and Lucinda (Cochran) Long. She attended Parkview High School in Springfield, Mo. She is married to Henry Carl Lester Davis, who survives at their home. She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing and playing various instruments. She attended the Apostolic Faith Church in Springfield, Mo. She is also survived by five children: Chuck Bryant (wife Dana) of Walnut Grove; Teresa Davis (husband Johnny) of Walnut Grove; John Eagleburger (wife Sandi) of Ash Grove; Tracy Shaffer of the home; Geno Eagleburger of the home; seven granddaughters; five grandsons; eight great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; five siblings: Dorisalene Clubb of Walnut Grove; Darlene Coble (husband Ross) of Everton; Delroy "Bunky" Long (wife Kay), Drusilla Wiggins, David Long (wife Arletta) all of Walnut Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son: Gene Loren Eagleburger; her late husband: Gene Henry Eagleburger; a son: Tommy Bryant; a grandson: Tommy "Bo" Bryant Jr.; and a sister: Donella Moore. Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the Apostolic Faith Church in Springfield. Funeral Services will be follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Faith Church, 2426 N. Benton; Springfield, MO 65803, with Rev. Tim Hollon officiating. Interment will be private for the family.
