Franklin D. Taylor, age 79, of New Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012, at his home. He was born on December 12, 1932, in Belle. He was married on January 16, 1965, to Margaret Turner, who survives at the home. Franklin was a member of the IBEW and retired after more than 30 years and worked many years as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and watching Cardinals baseball, was an avid NASCAR fan always cheering for Jeff Gordon, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Other surviving loved ones include: his daughter, Connie Taylor of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Cathy Baxter and her husband Mike of Deatsville, Ala.; daughter, Deanna Mastellone and her husband Joe of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Dennis Taylor of Memphis, Tenn.; step-daughter, Pamela Strycharz and her husband Charles of Edgewater, Fla.; step-son, Kenneth Robinson and his wife Lynnette of New Bloomfield; three sisters, one brother, 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and two step-sons. His body has been cremated under the direction of Heartland Cremation & Burial Society in Columbia.
