Stanley Eldon Johnsen, 81, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico. He was born December 4, 1930, in Nebraska, the son of the late Albert and Bertha Johnsen. Stanley attended Ottawa High School in Ottawa, Kansas. He was employed with Sperry New Holland for over 30 years selling farm machinery. Stanley served in the Unites States Army during the Korean War. Stanley was an avid golfer. He was a longtime member of Meadow Lake Acres Country Club where he shot a Hole-in-One on hole number 6 on October 12, 2000. He is survived by two daughters: Joni Sartain of Jefferson City, Missouri and Stacey Moore of Canyon Lake, Texas; one sister Jenny Ecklund of Wellington, Kansas; one grandson: Justin Sartain; one granddaughter: Rebecca Moore; two great-grandchildren: Clayton Moore and Jasmine Moore and several close friends: Bob and Loretta Bregenzer and Rex and Wanda Kirkland. He was preceded in death by one grandson Matthew Moore. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the Houser Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Phelps officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
