Donald G Lawson

Donald G. "Hazard" Lawson, age 72, of Eldon, died Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 18, 1939, in Allais, Kentucky, a son of the late Nicholas and Raney (Noble) Lawson. On February 2, 1974, in Rolla, he was married to Wanda Williams, who survives at the home. Hazard graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla in 1974 and retired from NCR in Dayton, Ohio in 1997. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his cat, Shadow. Others who survive him include: one step-daughter, Carole Routson and husband J.R. of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Logan and Caitlin Routson; one brother, Thomas Lawson and wife Teenie of Talbott, Tennessee and two nephews. Visitation will be from Noon-1:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Aurora Springs Baptist Church in Eldon. Chaplain Bruce Gardner will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Lake Pet Hospital (for the care of stray animals) or the Eldon Food Pantry.
