Genevieve E. Boss

Genevieve E. Boss, 92, of Linn, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Autumn Meadows in Linn. Genevieve was born in Chamois on January 21, 1920, to the late Joseph William and Bertha Emma (Rippstein) Boss. She was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church in Chamois and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 506 in Chamois for 66 years. She spent many hours quilting with her church group and with her twin sister, Rosella. Her survivors include her sister, Dorothy Mae Topel and husband, Arnold of Peoria, Ill. and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Norbert and Donald Boss; and four sisters, Lorene Holzem, Helen Holzem, Mildred Johnson and Rosella Boss. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m., at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois with Fr. Don Antweiler as the celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
