Mr. Roy M. Boltz Jr., age 64 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, August 9, 2012, at his home. Roy was born July 9, 1948, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Roy M. Sr. and Josephine Boltz. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Roy was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a graduate of Lincoln University with a B.S. in Accounting. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Roy was employed as an accountant with the Missouri Public Service Commission from 1976 until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Sone Post 1003 and the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5. Roy was an avid trout and crappie fisherman and enjoyed gambling at the riverboats. Survivors include: one sister, JoAnn Valentine Duenkel of Jefferson City, Mo.; and a cousin, Jerry Biele and his wife Jacqueline of Ashland, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012. Graveside services and entombment with military honors will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012, in the Mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
