Steven Holdridge

Steven Lyle Holdridge, age 65, of Bradenton, Florida and Jefferson City, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born July 4, 1946, in Oakland, California, the son of the late Dale L. and Geraldine (Alsieke) Holdridge. On February 14, 1997, Steven was united in marriage to Sharon Kidwell, who survives at their home. He attended Britton Elementary School in Britton, South Dakota, was a graduate of Britton High School, and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of South Dakota. Steven was employed with the United States Treasury Department as a Special Agent/Criminal Investigator from 1971 until his retirement in 1996. He also served in the United States Army for one year. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and a charter member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Steven was an avid golfer, devoted MU Tiger fan, and enjoyed music, walking the beach, and being with his family. Steven is also survived by one son: Scott (Mary Anne) Holdridge of St. Louis; one daughter: Stacey (Chris) DeLano of Kearney; and their mother, Kathy Davis of Las Vegas, Nev.; one step-son: Nathan (Cara) Runyan of Jefferson City; one brother: Tom (Helen) Holdridge of Hilliard, Ohio; one sister: Susan (Leon) Kincaid of Overland Park, Kansas; three grandchildren: Patrick Holdridge, Katherine Holdridge, and Molly DeLano; and one step-grandchild: Caden Runyan. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at St. Joseph Cathedral, with Reverend Nicholas Reid officiating.
