Mr. William A. "Bill" Dallmeyer III, age 76 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Capital Region Medical Center. Bill was born March 1, 1936, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Robert E. and Margaret L. Smith Dallmeyer. He was married on November 14, 1959, in Jefferson City, Mo., to V. Yvonne Taylor, who preceded him in death on July 25, 2007. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Bill was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. Bill served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1962. He was employed as a real estate broker for many years and later was in membership development for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. Bill was active in the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce serving as Vice-President of the Board of Directors, Director, and an Ambassador. He received the Chamber President's Award. He was Realtor of the Year from the Jefferson City Board of Realtors in 1986 and also received the President Appreciation Award from the Board of Realtors. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O. of Elks, Lodge 513. Bill was awarded a Friend of Tourism from the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau. He was a life member of the National Rifle Assn. and a volunteer with Capital Region Medical Center. Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret J. Hopper and her husband Charles of Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, William A. "Bill" Dallmeyer IV of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Robert Dallmeyer of Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Sophia Hopper, Hannah Dallmeyer, Hailey Dallmeyer, and Jude Dallmeyer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
