Janis Evans

Janis Yvonne Long Evans, age 74, of California, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born on December 11, 1937, in Cedar City, Mo., the daughter of Ruby Neely Long and Fred Long. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert P. Evans. They were married at the Methodist Church in Cedar City on April 16, 1955. Also surviving are three sons, Butch of Maryville, Tenn., Dave of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Bill of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Truby Rhodes and her husband Wayne, and Lynda Nichols and her husband Darrell; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son, Jimmy Dale, preceded her in death in 1994. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, at the Assembly of God Church, Russellville.
