Kenneth W. Koenig

Mr. Kenneth W. "Kenny" Koenig, age 68 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, April 13, 2012, at his home. Kenny was born February 18, 1944, in Meta, Mo., the son of Quentin E. and Catherine Voss Koenig. Kenny was raised on the family farm in St. Thomas, Mo. and graduated from Fatima High School in Westphalia, Mo. He was employed with Von Hoffman Press for 40 years prior to his retirement in 2006. Kenny was a member of the Von Hoffman Press Breakfast Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching and playing baseball, and watching NASCAR. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include: his daughter, Tina M. Koenig Powers of Jefferson City, Mo.; one grandson, Cody W. Koenig Powers; two sisters, Linda Schmitz and her husband Junior of Westphalia, Mo. and Sandy Wishon and her husband Steve of Jefferson City, Mo.; two step-daughters, Rita S. Coleman and Lisa A. Zimmerman and her husband Keith; four step-grandchildren, Shelby, Cameron, Brittany, and Chelsea; one step great grandchild, Colton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Shelley Wishon. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:30 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. Private graveside services and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
