Jeremiah Kempker

Jeremiah "Jeremy" Kempker, 30, of Russellville, Missouri passed away Thursday morning April 12, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. On October 10, 1981, he was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Robert Kempker and the late Debra Jean "Morris" Kempker. Jeremy attended Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home, Mo. He completed Collision Repair Training at Tri-County Tech School and then completed training as a police officer with the Columbia Police Academy. He was currently employed with Harvey Kempker Trucking Company in Jefferson City, Mo. Survivors include: Parents, Bob and Nancy Kempker of Eugene, Mo.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rachael and Jake Schmitz of Jefferson City, Mo., Rebecca and Shane Jones of Jefferson City, Mo.; brother, Josh Kempker of Henley, Mo.; fiancÈ, Brittany Shikles and son, DeMyris of Russellville, Mo. Also surviving are his former wife, Heather (Oday) Kempker and daughter, Kiera; grandparents, Bernadine Kempker of Jefferson City, Mo., Jeannie and Bill Coleman of Lakeland, Fla, and Wayne Morris of Ala. Preceding him in death were his mother, Debra Jean Kempker; a sister, Rachel Purdy and grandfather, Anton "Tony" Kempker. Visitation will be Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home, Mo. with a Memorial Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev. Patrick J. Shortt officiating. Jeremy's wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest next to his mother where she is buried in Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in care of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
