Mrs. Imogene A. Means, age 91 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Arbors of Westbrook Terrace. Imogene was born February 18, 1921, in New Salem, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Lydia Moore Antram. She was married on September 21, 1941, in New Salem, Pa., to Morris A. Means. A homemaker, she was a resident of the Jefferson City area since 1971. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the X Club, and was a volunteer at the Capital Region Medical Center. Survivors include: her husband of 70 years, Morris Means; two daughters, Joyce Jackman of Jefferson City, Mo. and Jeannine Bosseler and her husband Russ of Broomfield, Colo.; two grandchildren, Mark Jackman and his wife Shauna of Jefferson City, Mo. and Jennifer Mittleman and her husband Carl of Aurora, Colo.; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Delanie, Bryce and Paige Jackman and Dorie and Seth Mittleman. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law, James Jackman, and her brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Daniel Hilty officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the memorial service in the Freeman Chapel. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church.
