Jackie Bivens

Mrs. Jackie R. Bivens, age 66 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, September 10, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. Jackie was born March 5, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Samuel O. and Dora Ruth Fenton Liston. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1970, Jackie was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education for many years. After retirement, she was employed with the Jefferson City Public Schools in the Adult Basic Literacy Education Dept. Survivors include: one brother, Jim Liston and his wife Judy of Blue Springs, Mo.; her longtime friend, Marty Bunch of Jefferson City, Mo.; one niece, Teresa Sperry of Grain Valley, Mo.; one nephew, Sam Liston of Oak Grove, Mo.; and two great- nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Tammy R. Bivens on October 16, 1993. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Jon Warren officiating. Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
