Robert Row (Veteran)

Robert Francis Row, 85, of Jefferson City, departed this life Monday, September 5, 2011, at Jefferson City Nursing Home. He was born on October 3, 1925 in Cicero, Illinois, to Frances and Helen Row. He was married on February 28, 1981, at Fort Leonard Wood, to Enza Lindsey, who survives at the home. He graduated from Morton High School in 1941 at Cicero, Illinois. After graduation he entered into the United States Navy for 24 years. He was a veteran of World War II and Korean War. He worked at Texas Instrument Corporation in Texas for several years. He also worked in the civil services at Fort Leonard Wood for 10 years. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Lebanon, Missouri. Bob was a member of the Traveler's Square Dance Club for 25 years and a member of the Ozark Whirlers for several years. He loved to dance, travel, bowling and painting. Other survivors include one brother: Ken (June) Row of Tucson, Arizona; one daughter: Sandy Gray; two sons: Michael Row and Dave Row of Lebanon; one step-son: Earl (DeRhonda) Lindsey of Smith Groves, Kentucky; three step-daughters: Arla Montgomery of Alvanton, Kentucky, Christina Lindsey of Alvanton, Kentucky and Jennifer Lindsey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and two grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Fort Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery.
