Mr. Henry F. "Hank" Minter, age 57 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at his home. Hank was born July 24, 1954, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Robert and Sally M. Spero Minter. He was married on February 14, 1985, in Linn, Mo., to Beth Trilling. Hank was a cashier with the Salvation Army Thrift Store. He had also been employed with Wren Manufacturing and Empire Moulding. He was a professional musician and his past bands include Brute Force & Ignorance, Black Jack, Mystery Express, and Steppin Out. Hank was a member of the United Sportsman Club, Missouri Offhand and Temple Beth El. In addition to his music, Hank enjoyed painting, photography, black powder shooting, attending Rendezvous, blues night jams, reading, and leatherworking. Hank enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets. Survivors include: his wife, Beth Minter; one son, Sam A. Minter and his wife Ashley of Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Kaiya and Darby Minter; one brother, Robert Minter and his wife Nancy of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Sallie Keeney of Jefferson City; his father-in-law, Yosef Trilling; his mother-in-law, Leona Alpert; four brothers-in-law, Randy Kurtz, David Ashinhurst, Doug Keeney, and Jeff Trilling; one aunt, Phyllis Haswell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and Audrey Trilling and Keith Kartman. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kaiya Minter Educational Fund or Temple Beth El.
