Marie Helen Rodemann

Marie Helen Rodemann, 92, of Wardsville, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on February 9, 1919, in St. Thomas, the daughter of the late Peter Theodore and Theresia M. Evers Libbert. She was united in marriage on October 26, 1938, in St. Thomas, to Joseph H. Rodemann who preceded her in death on March 31, 1975. A homemaker, Marie was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, charter member of the Perpetual Adoration at the church, and the Over 50 Club. Marie enjoyed quilting, reading, cooking, bird watching, gardening, and spending time with her family. Survivors include: Brother Louis Rodemann, Kansas City; Sister Patricia Ann Rodemann, Normandy, Mo.; James "John" (Joan) Rodemann, Jefferson City; Mary Ellen (David) Koch, Joplin; Bernadette (George) Sitterley, Webster Groves, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Andre) Smith, Joseph (Mariela) Rodemann, Jacob (Amanda) Rodemann, Jack (Ashley) Rodemann, Michael Koch, Catherine Koch, Eric Sitterley, Elizabeth Sitterley; six great-grandchildren, Max Smith, Sydney Smith, Ava Smith, Isabel Rodemann, Mia Rodemann, Kate Rodemann; and one sister, Monica (Richard) Luebbering, Marshall, Mo. She was preceded in death by a son, David Rodemann; a daughter, Barbara Rodemann; a sister, Christine Wekenborg; and two brothers, Andrew Libbert and Wilfrid Libbert. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2011, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the church with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Masses; St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 6418 Rt.
