Lavina M. Felgar

Lavina M. Felgar, age 91, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at Jefferson City Manor. Lavina was born August 17, 1920, in Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter to the late William Harry and Alma Amelia Wilhmina (Pfaffe) Inman. Lavina graduated from Keokuk High School and worked as a secretary in a medical office. On July 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Raymond Leonard in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He preceded her in death in 1973. She later married Frank Felgar and he preceded her in death in 1987. Lavina attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and ice skating as a young woman. Lavina is survived by: one son, Norman and his wife Jacque Leonard of Pampa, Texas; one daughter, Bonnie Martindale and her husband Jay of Jefferson City; one brother, Norman Inman of Keokuk, Iowa; two grandchildren, Rachel Ware and Gabe Leonard; one great-grandchild, Jamie Ware; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raphael Inman. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. Don Antweiler officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Illinois. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Chapel, Linn.
