Howard Friese (Veteran)

Howard D. Friese, age 89, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born July 17, 1922, in Sedgewickville, son of Ira M. and Ella Statler Friese. He and Mable Lucille Crader were married May 22, 1960, at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lucille, and a son, Jim Friese of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Friends may call Friday, October 21, 2011, from noon until time of service at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be Friday, at 2:00 p.m., at the church, with the Rev. S. Michael Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Sargents Chapel Cemetery near Sedgewickville, with full military honors.
