Betty M. Rohrbach, 81, a lifelong resident of California, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at California Care Center in California. She was born on April 21, 1930, in rural Moniteau County, to Herman and Edna Kiesling Tuttle, both of whom preceded her in death. On September 21, 1947, Betty was married to John W. Rohrbach, who preceded her in death on September 28, 2009. She graduated from California High School in 1947 and graduated from Capital Business College in Jefferson City. She owned and operated Rohrbach's Tax Service in California and worked as an accountant for 50 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in California, National Society of Public Accountants, Independent Accountants Society of Missouri and National Association of Tax Practitioners. She was accredited by the Accreditation Council for Accountancy, past-president and served on the board of Trustees of Independent Accountants Society of Missouri. She enjoyed growing roses and other flowers, sewing and needlework, etching glass, fusing jewelry and bowling. For several years, Betty headed the California Muscular Dystrophy Phone Center which became the last satellite phone center that MDA operated in central Missouri. Betty is survived by two sons: Allan Rohrbach with his wife Marla of Green Ridge, and Stephen Rohrbach with his wife Darenda of Carl Junction; two grandchildren: David Rohrbach of Green Ridge, and Sheri Rohrbach of California; three step-grandchildren: Heath Weber of Fulton, Casey Greenway of Springfield, and Steva Bolinger of Carl Junction; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Joyce Crook of California, Sally Vogel of California, and Donna Ferguson of California; one brother, John Tuttle of Grain Valley; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Leland Rohrbach; two brothers: Paul Tuttle and Warren Eugene Tuttle. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Windmill Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Collette Jones officiating. Interment will be at Evangelical Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the W.B. "Billy" Vogel III Scholarship Fund, California United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, or charity of the donor's choice.
