Linda Gilliam-Baker, 62, of Jefferson City, was called home by God on Friday, September 30, 2011, in Wichita, Kansas. She very courageously battled breast cancer for the last four years. She cherished spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed her job at Border Enterprises along with attending church at Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ. She leaves behind two daughters, Stephanie Lyle and Heather Rainey; two sons-in-law, Kevin Rainey and David VanVleck and three grandkids, Taylor (18), McKenna (13) and Will (11). She also leaves behind her parents, Bill and Dorlas Gilliam; four sisters, Colene Luttrell, Charlene Luttrell, Becky Malmberg, Beth Beckett, and a brother, Billy Gilliam. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, December 17, at 1 p.m., at Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ in Jefferson City, Mo. The family has established a memorial in Linda's honor and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be forwarded to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market Street, Wichita, KS 67202.
