Flora Schroeder

Flora V. Schroeder, 89, of Tipton, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Tipton Oak Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Schroeder was born May 3, 1922, to John and Clara Madole McDonald near Barnett, Mo. She married Dearl F. (Doc) Schroeder on December 20, 1944, in Little Rock, Ark., who preceded her in death in 1986. She graduated from Barnett High School and worked at the Tipton Pants Factory in her early years. Later she worked as a clerk at the Syracuse and Tipton post offices. She attended the First Baptist Church of Syracuse. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Danny) Knipp of Tipton; one granddaughter, LeManda (Derek) Loganbill of Tipton; one great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Loganbill of Tipton; one sister, Pat Weems of Raytown. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Dearlyn Renee Schroeder; and one brother, Dwight McDonald. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., today, Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Syracuse Baptist Church, with Rev. Harold Nicks officiating. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery. Services are under direction of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
